Earlier in the year, an employee of Wal-mart was helping an elderly lady put her groceries in the back or her vehicle. As the employee was loading the groceries, the elderly woman backed up and ran over the employee, leaving her with a concussion and nearly fatal injuries. The elderly woman got out of the car, asked if she was okay, and drove away. The employee was soon hospitialized, and she notified the higher ups of Wal-mart of the incident. They chacked the cameras, and came back to te employee saying "we couldn't see the liscence plate number because you were standing in front of it." Really? She was standing in front of it when she was lying unconsious on the ground with a concussion? It turns out, the eldery lady was the manager's grandmother. The grandmother was never charged with nearly killing a person and leaving the scene of the crime, and the employee still works for Wal-mart. Soud unfair? What if it WASN'T the manager's grandmother? She would've been proven guilty.
I know a few people here like this. -cough-
The least the old lady could have done was stopped and helped the employee. Or at least called 911 and stood at her side until the ambulance came. Then at least she wouldn't have been charged with attempted 3rd degree murder.
If I was that employee, I would have sued the dentures out of her. (unless she stopped to help)
Then I would have sued every last penny from that manager.
I know my apprehensions might never be allayed. And so I close, realizing that perhaps the ending has not yet been written...
