As some of you may have heard or read about, especially if you're part of the Iowa College Republicans, then you know how bad a speech-giver Tim Pawlenty is. Allow me to share from one of my favorite Columnist, Stephen Markley.
"This was one of the speeches that was so awkward, so cringe-inducing that I felt bad for the two visible college kids flanking Pawlenty, who will now be remembered for the rest of time as the dudes who had to force a laugh when Pawlenty name-dropped Lady Gaga.
"But to simply mock Pawlenty's pitiful pop culture references (oh, you've heard of Charlie Sheen? Congratulations on having an internet connection) and the fact he looks like the substitute teacher all the kids ignore in favor of texting their friends two seats over misses the point. Pawlenty's egregiously condescending pitch to the youth vote presupposes that young people are so stupid that they don't understand what they're voting for."
Well, this time around, he gave a speech at an Iowa College, I believe... It's a campaign speech, he's trying to prove he can run for the Republican Party in 2012. Did you watch the Vid or read the Article? o30
