Biography Born to a relatively poor family in northeastern California. The first of the two children, his parents were very confident in his future, believing he would become an important part of society.
After his brother, Rebel Litz, was born (when Blaine was about ten Katemphy years old) the Litz' s were borderline poverty. His parents sold Rebel to the LOE for experimentation, due to the fact even after he was three Katemphy years old he still would not talk and they presumed he was stupid. After discharge from the LOE he not only returned with a great deal of money but the ability to condense matter with his mind. Though eventually this caused his skull to cave in, and Blaine tried to fix it despite his parents' insistence that he just let his little brother go about his own business. There was nothing much he could do to help Rebel and ended just watching his brother crush his own skull in with his gift.
Disgusted by his parent's inability to feel concerned for their dead child, he ran away at the age of eleven (Katemphy years). He made it as far as Colorado, where Stephen Smitt -- leader of Touch of Eden -- found him and took interest in his vigor and refusal to let the elements get the best of him. Stephen Smitt offered Blaine a place to stay, food to eat, and a new family, under the condition he never try to leave. The young Blaine agreed eagerly, and was brought to the Edenite Manor where they had to to permanently burn the fur off his upper back to get the gang's signature tattoo. Stephen discovered Blaine had great promise in combat and had him fighting for the gang as soon as he could (around the age of nine Human years, fourteen Katemphy years).
Though their trust in him faded, after word of the Katemphy Uprisings within America eight years later. Stephen came up with a way to properly dispose of Blaine, and convince Blaine into thinking he had been abandoned again. So Blaine set off, with what little he had. Having heard of The Migration on the radio, he traveled across the the Canadian border in the cargo hold of a truck, then hitchhiked his way, gathering information information to where exactly the Lonergang had been hiding. Hearing rumor they were a cult, he was wary. When he finally found them, and realized they were a gang he became evermore wary. But eventually he came to trust them, and they came to trust him. Now he lives with them, training less experienced Groupers and coming up with newer and more reliable combat strategies.
Personality Generally a nice person, unless you you get on his bad side somehow. Not very forgiving, and is easy to hold a grudge on someone. His loyalty may seem false at times, but he will prove himself otherwise if questioned. To some extent. When he is upset he will get nostalgic against his own will, and prefers not to be bothered or talked to. When in combat or in a violent mood he will get very quiet. And just appears to be staring at people or scrutinizing them. Unless he is really at ease he will only speak when spoken to, and says 'sir' or 'ma'am' often. When around people he is comfortable with he will get relatively talkative, and will joke and smile. While he can be scared easily by certain things, he has learned to keep it to himself, and rarely acts out of fear.
Other Qualities He has a mild case of PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), so he can seem avoiding or numbed of emotion. Slightly algophobic, and greatly pyrophobic. He'll steer clear of stoves and heaters, and will sometimes have panic attacks or even faint if he gets too close to open flames. (Yet the sun doesn't bother him, if anything, he longs for hot weather in Streak City.)
While he refuses to wear his locket, claiming it's too girly, he keeps it on his person at all times. He's literally too scared to open it also. Feeling what is in there does not belong to him.
