I've decided to make a series on computers to inform you guys on things you may not know about your computer or things you may just over look. Also to tell you about the different programs you can use to help you on your day-to-day life.
To start off you already know what a browser is right? If not then it's what you're using now to read this. There are tons of browsers out there but which one do you choose? Well, I will help you choose.
Internet Explorer - Microsoft
Internet Explorer is the default browser that's installed on all windows machines. Internet Explorer used to be the most popular browser around but now it's one of the worse. It's slow and doesn't suppose as much of HTML5 and CSS3 as the other browsers.
Mozilla FireFox
This one is free to download at http://firefox.com. This one is more of a modern browser which is one of the best. There is a addon store where you can download different type of addons from Education to Entertainment. There are also different themes which you can download to personalize it.
Google Chrome
Chrome as gain a lot of popularity throughout the past few years. This browser is very similar to FireFox with the store and themes but Chrome as of right now supports the most HTML5 and CSS3 which means that developers would be able to do more with this browser than the others.
That wraps up the quick overview of the most popular browsers we use today. There are also more like Opera, Safari, and NetScape but I won't get into much details about those in this blog. Moveing on, we have Anti-Virus Programs. Anti-Virus protects you from getting viruses that can harm your computer. You would need to get one if you're a person who likes to download random .zip files on the internet or likes to click every ad they see. The more advanced ones have Real-time Protection which is what the name says. It monitors and checks what you're downloading before you install it and gives you a warning if it finds anything harmful. It will also delete the file if it did happen to find anything. A tip would be to set up a schedule so the program will automatically scan your computer everyday at x time or every month and so forth. I wouldn't recommend scanning your computer more than once a day. Some of the most popular ones are Malwarebytes, Norton, Avast, and much more. Some are free and some aren't. Be careful before you download.
