Hello! This is another blog on gaming. If you have eyes, or a brain that hasn't been eaten by a Head Crab, then you would of noticed.
Now. I've been rummaging through my dad's old computer games, nothing really interesting, untill I hit the bottom of the box. There, in perfect condition, was Half Life, with the expansion disk Counter Strike.
I have a old computer. WindowsXP. I know. But, it does have it's uses. I haven't fully played the game yet, but I've fallen in love with it, so thought I'd share my views on the game.
All of you know Half Life, but may have only played the brilliant sequal, Half Life 2. The game is based in a super duper secret goverement science place known as Black Mesa. You play as Gordan Freeman, who works in te said place. The game starts out with a normal day at Black Mesa, and you are called in to help test a new and highly reactive new susbance found. When I say "Test" I mean fire green electric lazers at it. Nothing could go wrong.
The game is a just awesome, a first in it's awesome graphics and designs, although [I estimated] 108 bit or something that seems prehistoric compare to newer games, it runs smoothly, and looks great. You have a suite that states the obvious, a fairly good amount health and a CROWBAR. You will find weapons later, but for the first bit of the game you will have to use your wits, torch/flashlight and your CROWBAR.
Now. Head my words, then playing this master peice, don't run ahead, or you may find your body being crushed by a cabinet or being exploded by lazers and zombie alien things that shoot lazers at you.
The game play is smooth and easy to grasp, you will have to take up te Hazzard Course Training before starting the actual game, as it s not like other games, which have the tutorials at the start. There is a bit of puzzle solving, along with blasting, running, splatting, dodging and having a great time.
This game is a must have for any first person shooter fan.
I have yet to play HL and HL2, but I'm going to prowl the gaming section at GameStop and Walmart for XBOX360 editions of either of them. Or I might just end up trying to play them on my laggy computer.
