Eminem's real name is Marshall Mathers. He grew up in a trailer with a single mom. His dad had abandoned him when he was 6 months old. He never knew him. At the age of 10, he was hated everywhere, I really dont know why, but he said only a few people in the trailer park liked him. He was raised on a trailer, food, and a few scraps of things. He got in alot of fights, and he got enough money at one point to go to school. He went through 9th grade 3 times, then dropped out of school. He started getting into rap around when he was 16. He discovered his amazing skills to rhyme anything, including orange, at 17. He uses abbreviations to rhyme words. He got more into rap battles at mid 17. At 18, he made his first song. I forget the name. Later, when he got married and had kids, he wanted to give his kids things he never had. Later, he had a crisis. Almost every house he owned got broken into or robbed. His wife, Kim, had almost save $ 1,000 for they're kids to go to college, but it got broken into and robbed. Then when Marshall started going around the world and performing, his wife didn't like what she saw. His wife was gone when he got back. In 2007, He had a drug overdose and almost died, the doctor said if he got to them 2 hours later, max, he would be dead. That was one of the most terrifying parts of his life, for both him and his family. Later in his life, he made Relapse followed by Recovery. Im Not Afraid, one of the songs in his Recovery album, was one of the most inspirational songs he ever made. It meant that... 1) He was getting clean. 2) He was trying to help others not to go through what he did.

After Recovery, he stopped the drugs and stopped being a hater. He is getting better. He once said in a interview "I'm not a bad guy. I do not allow profanity anywere around my household, when I cuss in my music the music is from my heart".
