So, I've did a blog about the general MAIN abilities that can occur. What about the many, LESSER-KNOWN abilities? This blog is dedicated to those abilities. This blog will revisit some, maybe all of the abilities that we've already covered in the previous blogs, & more lesser-known abilities that I haven't covered.


Many psychic abilities have the suffix 'mancy'. Mancy emerged from Old French, Greek & Latin words meaning divination/prophecy/prophet. For example 'bibliomancy' means clarifying a passage chosen at random from a book & offering up a prophesy from so doing. Prophesies in this form were mainly taken from the Bible in earlier times.

AEROMANCY:
Aeromancy is the art of determining the meaning in the shapes of the clouds. If you look at the shapes of the clouds in the air & sky, you can find messages in the clouds that will appear much closer to you then the astrological zodiac. The next time you have to get on a plane somewhere, try to get a window seat & look for messages in the clouds as you fly high above & through them

AFTERLIFE COMMUNICATION:
Have a loved one that has passed on? They can show you signs everyday that they're all around you, & all you have to do is look for them. If you talk to your loved ones in the afterlife, they'll hear you. Talking to them & tell them that you do believe that they're around you helps them connect with you & give you the signs that they're around you much more then if were to ignore them, or say you didn't believe.

ALECTRYOMANCY:
This form actually a form of divination using the sound of bird calls, or the pecking of seeds in relation to touching or manipulating letters of the alphabet.

ALEUROMANCY:
You can find answers & messages baked in the dough, then chosen at random with a question in mind, like fortune cookies. You can also interpretate shapes in flour spread or dropped on a tray or on the bakers floor.

ALOMANCY:
This is done by casting salt into the air & reading the patterns that it leaves as it falls to the floor. You can also do the same by casting the salt into the fire.

ANOMOLOUS COGNITION:
This is a term used by parapsychologists to refer to the awareness of information without having to specify or theorize a particular way by which that information was transferred.

APPORTS:
This is when a completely solid object can materialize out of thin air through a physical medium. Many times, spirits & ghosts make coins, flowers, keys, or stones appear.

ASTRAL PROJECTION:
This is the out-of-body experiences that you can achieve through 'lucid dreaming', 'deep meditation', or 'astral travel techniques'.

AUGURY:
This is an ancient roman prophecy from watching the movement of birds & other animals during thunder & lightening.

AURA READING:
This means the ability for a psychic to see in & around a subjects Aura. We all have an electromagnetic energy field surrounding us. Some people see this energy field as colors & some psychic will feel the energy that your aura emits.

AUSTROMANCY:
This is to interpret meaning from watching the winds, especially during thunder & lightening. “The winds of change”

AUTOMATIC WRITING:
Automatic writing is sometimes done in a trance or a psychic state, but sometimes with the writers awareness but the message does not come from the writer's mind.

AXIOMANCY:
This means throwing an axe into a tree or a post & reading what messages come out when the hatchet lands.

BELOMANCY:
This is an ancient form of divination using arrows. For example, 3 arrows would be marked with the phrase 'god orders me', 'god forbids me', & the 3rd they would leave blank. They would choose an advantageous direction, was gleaned by tossing an arrow in the air, & letting its angle show the way to proceed. In the book of Ezekiel 21:21 “For the King of Babylon stands at the parting of the way, at the head of the 2 ways, to use divination; he shakes the arrows.”

BIBLIOMANCY:
This means interpreting a passage chosen at random from a book & offering up a prophecy from so doing. Prophecies in this form were predominantly taken from the Bible in earlier times.

BOTANOMANCY:
This is divination that you can do by scattering leaves & vegetation in a high wind to seek direction. Leaves &/or carved branches were sometimes burned & the smoke used in a similar fashion.

CAPNOMANCY:
This is when you have the ability to interpret the flow & shapes in the smoke of a fire to form a prophecy.

CARTOMANCY:
This is similar to the reading of Tarot Cards, but you use only a traditional deck of playing cards, not tarot cards. Many decks of oracle cards are procedures these days are not tarot decks but never then less, they are excellent tools for divination & inspiration. dream cards, chakra cards, animal cards, astrology cards, if you name it, there is most likely a deck of oracle cards about it. You can probably just look on eBay & find a deck.

CATOPTROMANCY:
This is the art of fortune telling with the aid of mirror. Similar to the line you heard in the fairy tale “Mirror, Mirror, on the wall-who's the fairest of them all?” A Captromancer's mirror was also called a “magic glass.” Gazing into a mirror is similar to crystal gazing.

CAUSIMOMANCY:
This is the art of making predictions based on the observations you make while watching items burn/don't burn when you place them in a fire.

CHIROMANCY, CHEIROLOGY, & CHIROGNOMY:
This are all terms for palm reading or palmistry, which is divination, or reading lines on people's hands. Chirognomy is more specfically a focus on the general hand formations being size, shape & appearance of the hand.

CLAIRVOYANT:
This is someone who has the ability of clairvoyace. Clairvoyace is when you have the ability to see into different worlds. There are actually 2 types of Clairvoyants in this world: Postive, or voluntary, Clairvoyants, which is when the individual is able to see & investigate the inner worlds, & is the master of himself & what he is doing. This type of clairvoyance is developed through pure, helpful living, & the indivdual must be carefully trained in it's use, in order that it may be completely effective & useful. Negative, or INVOLUNTARY, Clairvoyance is when the sights of the inner worlds are presented to an individual quite independently of his will. He sees what is given him to see & can, in no way control these sights. This type of clairvoyance can be dangerous, laying the individual open to posession by discarnate entitiies &, if allowed to go far enough, presenting the possibility that his or her life, in this world & the next, will litterally, NOT be there own.

CLAIRAUDIENCE:
This is the ability to hear things that are not audible to others around you. This means that a psychc with this ability hears beyond the natural sense of hearing. They meay 'hear clearly' & perceive sounds or words from spirits, guides, or angels or simply hear into your future in some mystical way.

CLAIRSENTIENCE:
This is the ability to pick up different sensations & relate message through those messages.

CLAIRTANGENCY:
This is the term used to describe an ability some psychics have to touch things beyond the physical plane.

CLARIEMPATHY:
This is another form of an empath in which the person has the ability to feel emotions beyond the natural realms

CLAIRGUSTANCE:
This refers to taste. Some psychics have the ability to pick ups certain tastes while they conduct readings for people

CROMNIOMANCY:
This is another form of divination. It is the ability do reading by observing & interpreting the sprouting behavior of onions.

CRYSTAL BALL GAZING/CRYSTALLOMANCY:
This is the art of seeing into future by looking into crystal balls, or a quartz crystal cluster or point. Now, many will insist you need a quartz ball & not a glass sphere. But, the power is not in the object of focus but in the psychic ability of the reader.

CYCLOMANCY:
This is the art of spinning a wheel, top, or bottle. The prophetic answer lies in the direction the item points or spins towards. Would you believe that you were actually performing type of 'psychic ability' by playing 'Spin the bottle” during a party?
