But here’s the uncomfortable truth: you can’t have real intellectual freedom while filtering out what you find offensive. That defeats the whole point. If you only defend speech you agree with or find palatable, you're not defending speech — you're defending conformity.

The bar for restriction should be direct incitement to violence — not unpopular opinions, not harsh criticism, not speech that makes you uncomfortable. Once you start trimming speech based on emotional reactions, you turn principles into preferences. And that’s the quickest way to lose the integrity of a free platform.

Free speech is messy. It’s loud. It can be ugly. But it's also the only way truth, progress, and resilience ever happen. You don’t get stronger ideas by silencing weaker ones — you do it by letting them die in the open, exposed to light, logic, and rebuttal.
